Setting Your Plane Stay Expectations

The plane conversion is a glamping experience – consider this a step up from basic camping. Although we have converted the plane to be an enjoyable accommodation offering, it should not be considered a traditional hotel room, B&B or holiday let type accommodation.

The plane itself is over 50 years old, and we have, where possible, kept as much of the original fittings and features present. Please be considerate of the age and condition of these, the windows, overhead lockers and so on. The original fittings and features may look worn, dirty or well used – we hope this adds to the experience and wish to ensure you that the plane is cleaned after every visit.

Cancellations and Changing Dates

We are happy to cancel your stay and provide a full refund as long as 24 hours notice is provided. We are also happy to move your booking to an alternative date, where possible, again with 24 hours notice provided.

If due to circumstances outside of our control, we may, as the host, need to cancel your booking and provide a full refund or move you to another date. In this instance, we will aim to give as much notice as possible.

Non-registered Guests

Please do not invite anyone else to the site beyond who is registered for the stay. If you wish to hold an event, party or similar gathering of people beyond those registered for the stay please contact us directly discuss and we will aim to accommodate.

Should you wish to invite a friend or family member to have a look at the plane for example, during your stay, please just let us know in advance and we will me more than happy to agree.

Damages and Breakages

Guests are responsible for any damages or breakages during their stay. An itinerary of general items in the plane and replacement costs will be provided. Damage outside of that scope will be quoted for directly on a case-by-case basis.

Personal Belongings and Valuables

Access to the hold sleeping area

Access to the original baggage hold and sleeping area within is via a small ladder using a hatch cut into the floor of the plane.  The Hatch size is 52cm x 61cm – this is similar to a loft hatch and ladder. Please ensure you are comfortable and able to navigate this route before doing so.

Head height is limited in the hold area, please be cautious when entering and moving around the baggage hold.

The hold sleeping area also features a fire exit – this is only to be used in the event of an emergency, and the door is alarmed.

Disabled Access

Although we have aimed to ensure the plane is as accessible as possible, its original format and the fact the conversion is within a 50-year-old plane made it very difficult to accommodate all users. Please contact us directly so we can discuss access and we will aim to accommodate where possible.
